Please help us welcome our new pastor: Rev Keith C Roller! Want to get to know our new pastor? Pastor Keith was born and raised in Ventnor City, New Jersey and is excited about returning “home” to Atlantic County to continue his ministry with his wife, Bonnie. Keith attended Ventnor Public Schools and graduated from Atlantic City High School in 1980. He received his B.A. in Political Science and English from Drew University in 1984 where he was a Trustee Scholar and selected to be a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He received his Juris Doctor from Rutgers University Law School-Camden in 1987 and passed the New Jersey and Pennsylvania Bar examinations in that same year. He has served as a practicing Trial Attorney, mostly in Atlantic and Cape May Counties, since that time. His professional offices are located in Pleasantville. He has also served as a Trustee for the Atlantic County Bar Association and as President of the Atlantic County Chapter of Habitat for Humanity. Pastor Keith was baptized and confirmed in the Methodist church and has been an active member ever since. He served for over 20 years as Chairperson of the Administrative Council at Trinity United Methodist Church in Ventnor and as Lay Leader at Trinity United Methodist Church in Marmora. He became a Certified Lay Servant in 2012, a Lay Minister in 2013 and a Licensed Local Pastor in 2017. Keith has served as Pastor at Leesburg and Delmont United Methodist Churches for the last three years. Prior to that, he served as Pastoral Assistant at Lifegate Church in Somers Point and as a Lay Minister at Trinity in Marmora. Pastor Keith is an Exhorter- he passionately encourages people to a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. He loves teaching through preaching and Bible study and serving the less fortunate. He and his wife, Bonnie, established “Sock Rock,” a ministry which collects and distributes socks to the needy. He is an avid football fan and loves exploring the beauty of God’s creation with his wife and dog in their RV. Keith and his wife now reside in Beesley’s Point. They have two wonderful children, Keith II and Jessica. They also have a long-haired dachshund, Riley and two cats, Patches and Luke Skywhisker.
Today was bittersweet for our congregation. Pastor Dave gave his last sermon at Zion UMC but reminded us "...we were made for so much more than ordinary lives. We were made to Thrive." We will miss Pastor Dave and Pam very much but know we will all thrive in our new adventures.
Zion UMC will be changing pastors next week as we say farewell & good luck to Pastor David Schumacher. Pastor Dave has served us for 11 years and we wish him well in his new appointment! We are looking forward to welcoming Pastor Keith Roller in July!! Keep your eyes 👀 peeled for more info coming soon!

Easter Sunday 🌞 sunrise 🌞 service will be held at 6:30 AM in the outdoor chapel overlooking our pond (weather permitting) & is followed by a continental breakfast in Zion hall. Sunday School 9:00 AM, Worship Service 10:00 AM. Have a Blessed Easter!

Due to the expected inclement weather, we are canceling our Worship on Wed program for tomorrow. It is rescheduled for next Wed.

During our sermon series ("Stop Being Nice: Be Kind") this week we learned more about unconditional love and the importance of becoming servants to one another.
